“Healing is an art. It takes practice. It takes
love.” – Maza Dohta

I'm Francis, the founder of Artistic Healing and a Creative Arts Practitioner passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves through creativity, compassion and curiosity.
My work supports individuals on their journey of healing and self-discovery - helping them express emotions safety, explore the roots of their struggles, and rediscover their inner strength.
At the heart of everything I do is the belief that healing is an art. It takes time, love, and courage. I hold a gentle, grounded space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported - without pressure, judgement or labels.
I blend several holistic modalities, including:
Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy (HICAT)
Root Cause Therapy (RCT)
Each session weaves together mindfulness, visual art, movement, sound, and storytelling, tailored to your individual needs. This allows healing to happen on all levels - mind, body, and soul.
Being trauma-informed is central to my work. Safety and empathy guide every step, ensuring you feel supported, not re-traumatised. I meet you where you are - with compassion, not expectation.
Artistic Healing was born from my own lived experience with trauma and the transformation I found through creative expression.
Art became my language when words weren't enough - it helped me reconnect with myself and find peace. Now, I use these same tools to help others heal, grow, and remember their worth.
This work is my calling. It's how I give back, create impact, and hold space for others to rediscover the light within themselves.
A session with me is:
🌿 Gentle and grounded - a space to slow down and breathe
🎨 Creative and expressive – focused on the process, not the outcome
💬 Client-led – you set the pace, and I walk beside you
There's no right or wrong way to express yourself. Together, we explore what feels safe and authentic for you. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more at peace, empowered, and equipped with tools you can carry into daily life.
I support:
Adults, teens, and children
Caregivers and professionals
Neurodivergent individuals
Trauma survivors and those experiencing emotional overwhelm or burnout.
Many of my clients come to me when traditional talk therapy hasn't felt effective. Creative therapy offers a gentle, non-verbal path to healing and understanding.
I offer:
One-on-one sessions (in person and online)
Workshops and group programs focused on mindfulness, emotional wellbeing, and creative exploration.
All offerings are designed to be inclusive, accessible, and nurturing.
Art gives us a way to speak without words. Through creativity, feelings and memories can surface safely, allowing for deeper understanding and release.
I often work with mixed media, collage, intuitive painting, and photography, encouraging you to explore colour, texture, and form. The focus isn't on the finished piece; it's on what you discover along the way.
I'm trained in:
Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy (HICAT)
Root Cause Therapy Lvl 1 and Lvl 2
Visual Art and Contemporary Craft - Certificate III and IV
My background in visual arts and photography enriches my therapeutic style, and my lived experience brings empathy and authenticity to my work.
I follow the ethical guidelines of trauma-informed and holistic practice and am dedicated to ongoing professional development and reflective practice, ensuring I serve every client with care, respect, and integrity.
My practice is grounded in:
💗 Authenticity – showing up honestly and wholeheartedly
🌿 Compassion – meeting you with understanding, not judgment
✨ Integrity – honouring boundaries and building trust
🎨 Curiosity – exploring creativity as a pathway to insight and growth
You don’t need to be “good at art” to benefit from art therapy. It’s not about making something perfect—it’s about self-expression, connection, and healing.
